Christmas Cat

This is probably the most perfect Christmas morning picture for me. As we were all checking our stockings for what Santa had left us, we noticed this little vistor!

She has been hanging around lately. I felt badly for her. Mother Nature is sometimes hard for me to understand. I don't think she wanted to come in and join us. I think she was just reminding us that she was there. That morning, Duffy didn't bark and chase her away as he usually does. She had a nice long nap, in the sun, on the chair.
I will never forget our Christmas visitor.

crazy kids!

Yesterday we hosted a family Christmas party at our house. It was alot of fun and really crazy like big family parties tend to be. Lots of people and lots of food. In a word , LOUD!! I found these silly sun glasses and thought the kids might have fun with them. Well, Bill had just as much fun goofing around with the kids and their glasses. Funny how a $1.00 pair of glasses can entertain everyone, huh?

It was great to have little kids in the house again. It's been a long time! The wild rumpus has begun and it's going to be a really fun Christmas week

glitter or snow?

It is 10 o'clock at night and I just came back into the house.
I had taken Duffy out before we all head to bed.
It is the most beautiful winter night. The snow on the ground looks like glitter!
Instead of just staying the yard, we went for a walk. I sang Christmas songs as we walked.
Now this feels like Christmas!
I just hope none of the neighbors heard me singing.

I am sitting in front of the computer.....killing time, again!
Did the same thing yesterday. It's the result of waiting for service/repair people. Good thing I am patient. Today the carpet guy, Kevin, was an hour late. He is a really nice guy and does a great job with carpet cleaning! I forgave him. We discussed the Wii he got his kids for Christmas
Yesterday, repairman for our wine fridge that isn't working. I didn't want him to take it to the shop at this time. We are having parties during the holidays and I told him I would rather have it non-functioning than have a hole in the wall where it should be! 'No problem', he said, call after the New Year and we will come to get it. Cute young guy. Friendly. 'A newlywed', he said very proudly! Guess the white wine will have to chill outside on the deck.
This afternoon I will have a massage. God! I LOVE to get a massage. I am relaxed already, just thinking about it.
Tonight I will have dinner and see a play with my 'fav' 5. Bill, our sons and our daughters-in-love.
It really is the best time of year, for so many reasons.
